About Me

Hi there! My name is Melissa, but most everyone calls me Milly.

I am a wife to an amazing man, Bob, who holds my heart forever.  I am also a homeschooling momma of 3 fantastic kids.

 I consider my daily life with my kids and the jobs I do around our home to be my ministry. I want my children to love learning, and have an intimate relationship with God. My hope is to teach them diligently so they can be prepared to do as God instructs. I desire to see them live out the love and compassion of God in all they do.

 I am a no frills kind of gal. I like things to be uncluttered and simplified. I enjoy being outside and love our country life filled with chickens, bees, and gardens. And like my blog title suggests, I love being barefoot!

I will be sharing bits of my passion for the Word of God and the wonderful relationship I am blessed to have with Him.

 I have had a desire to share my thoughts, convictions, and what works for us in hopes that it may help others. I would like to connect with and encourage those who have the same interests at heart.
